SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Improve the regional market position and profitability of Marine and Protective Coatings within Dealers and Distributors by
identifying, signing, and developing selected key distributors and dealers in order to build robust, profitable, and strategic partnerships and
customer relationships. Ensure that Jotun has a competent, engaged, and enabled salesforce by creating and implementing
sales and dealer management tools, methods, and guidelines in order to support the regional Performance of Coating’s strategy, as well as
achieving local, regional, and global targets.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and drive the sales development of Protective and Marine dealers and distributors in Americas region by identifying, setting up, developing and managing existing and new dealers and distributors in cooperation with the legal entities in the region, to ensure local/regional KPIs are met.
  • Drive implementation and further development of ‘Americas Regional Roadmap’ plan for export distributors by developing existing and new markets.
  • Develop and execute a Dealers & Distributors strategy (local and regional) aligned with Segment and Company Strategy and local units in the region.
  • Manage, develop and lead Local Dealer Managers to ensure implementation and execution of strategic dealer and distributor plans and all relevant tools and solutions.
  • Contribute actively to building and strengthening the competence needed within the dealers and distributors network to secure further growth.
  • Manage and lead the team by setting clear targets and frameworks, coaching, supporting, following up, and monitoring each team member in line with the Penguin Spirit to support engagement and enablement of the direct and indirect sales teams.
  • Grow Jotun’s market position within Dealers & Distributors by overseeing activities and monitoring performance and results to ensure cost efficiency and profitable initiatives.
  • Create and execute the strategic response for Dealers & Distributors by implementing policies, guidelines, tools, and guiding principles and communicating this to the regional and local network in order to govern sales and dealer management.
  • Implement Protective/Marine marketing strategy through conducting Jotun Dealer Profitability Program (JDPP) for dealers, rolling out Marketing activities at all MC outlets, and Capitalizing MCI concept to maintain Jotun's image and enhance competitiveness level and improve market position.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Logistics, Customer Service, Laboratory, Technical Service, and Finance) by following up on the timely delivery of paint, in-shop requests, and credit approvals in order to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Plan and Monitor sales objectives, Gross Margin (GM), Days of Outstanding Sales (DSO), and payment collection by having constant follow-up and guidance with the Distributors to ensure implementation of sales targets and ensure profitability and increase of market share
  • Share customer information, leads, and opportunities with relevant internal stakeholders to strengthen Jotun’s understanding, innovations, and response.

What We Look For:
  • Looking for a driven, focused, dynamic and professional individual that can take a structured and efficient approach in managing existing Export Distributors in Americas directly and develop the dealer networks in the regional existing units - with specific focus on Jotun Paints Inc and Jotun Mexico.
  • Experience with Central and South American regions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Spanish or willingness to enhance language skills is an asset.
  • Leader experience in both managing and influence people.
  • Determined and motivated individual that can execute exiting strategy plans and develop new strategic plans for the region.
  • Must have the ability to work independently as well as in teams.
