Position Overview :

The IT Director of Global Infrastructure will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of Flowserve's global IT infrastructure. This role requires a strategic leader who can effectively manage a diverse team, optimize infrastructure performance, ensure scalability, and uphold security standards across all regions of operation. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of infrastructure technologies, strong leadership and management skills, and a proven track record of leading innovation in a global enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Infrastructure Strategy : Develop and execute a comprehensive global infrastructure strategy aligned with Flowserve’s objectives and growth plans.
• Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a geographically dispersed team of infrastructure professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and professional development.
• Infrastructure Design and Implementation : Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of scalable and resilient distributed and data center infrastructure solutions to support Flowserve’s evolving needs.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management : Drive the adoption and management of cloud infrastructure services, ensuring optimal performance, cost efficiency, and security.
• Network Architecture : Lead the design and standards for a robust network architecture to facilitate seamless connectivity across all locations, including data centers and sites, and data and voice.
• Telephony Architecture : Lead the design and maintenance of global telephony, voice architecture and telephony systems.
• Security and Compliance : Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard the organization's infrastructure and data assets.
• Vendor Management : Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate, select, negotiate, and manage infrastructure technologies and services while fostering partnership and vendor accountability.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity : Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions.
• Budgeting and Cost Management : Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor infrastructure performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Deep expertise in infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, WAN, LAN, and SDWAN networking, virtualization, cloud services, and telephony.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale infrastructure programs and initiatives in a global enterprise environment.
• Experience leading the design, architecture, and implementation of solutions leveraging Cisco and Meraki equipment, Microsoft Azure cloud services, Microsoft Teams Phone, and Zscaler.
• Experience leading infrastructure in a hybrid outsourced model.
• Experience leading infrastructure in a highly distributed global organization with thousands of employees located at hundreds of sites in countries across all four major geographic regions.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security best practices, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record of identifying, securing funding for and remediating technical debt through refresh and upgrade programs in pursuit of improved reliability and security risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to develop and deliver multimode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
• Ability to instill trust, gaining confidence and trust of others through honesty integrity and authenticity.
• Proven ability to effectively interact with, anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization, both within IT and among the business.
• Proven ability to build effective formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the IT organization.
• Proven ability to build partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, logical thought process, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to see ahead to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies.
• Proven ability to lead change by leading and inspiring individuals and/or groups toward meeting Flowserve’s vision, mission, and goals.
• Proven ability to balance delegation and direct involvement, easily moving into and out of technical weeds, while always maintaining a strategic viewpoint.

Preferred Skills:

• Relevant IT certifications are a plus.
