Billing Specialist

Spero Health is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our awesome team in Brentwood, TN!

This position is for a Billing Specialist who supports the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment. The Billing Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintains billing and programs to provide effective electronic filing strategies.
• Meets with Director Revenue Operations regularly to effective communicate and resolve billing issues, prioritize goals, improve processes and review billing status.
• Manages failed claims, failed activities and front end rejections.
• Submit claims according to billing schedule.
• Sees that client billing submission is efficient and organizes the billing schedule.
• Researches and resolve billing problems and or issues for insurance payers and clients.
• Develops and maintains a working relationship with all team-mates.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements:

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma/GED required

EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years of medical billing and coding experience
• Client statement submission experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Excellent customer service and phone manner
• Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of payer edits and billing procedures
