About Us
The Oracle Legal Group (OLG) is a forward-thinking law firm committed to delivering client-focused legal services. We support a diverse client base and provide strategic counsel across multiple practice areas. Our team is passionate about growth, both for our clients and our organization, which is why we’re seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to join us. This full-time position, based in Houston, TX, reports directly to the Director of Marketing & Sales and plays a critical role in driving OLG’s expansion and achieving our strategic goals.

What You Bring to the Table
Are you skilled in generating growth and expanding client bases through strategic initiatives, relationship-building, and market insight?

Our ideal candidate has a solid background in business development within the legal or professional services sector, expertise in client relationship management, and a consultative mindset to address challenges and cultivate connections. You should be adept at adjusting your approach in various settings, from field meetings to boardroom presentations. This role thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment with a flexible hybrid schedule available after a successful 90-day onboarding period.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development

  • Develop and implement business development strategies that align with OLG’s objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with firm partners to convert leads into clients.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline and stay informed of market trends and potential client needs.
  • Partner with practice group leaders on sector-specific growth strategies and assist the marketing team with targeted campaigns.

Client Relationship Management

  • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in target organizations.
  • Collaborate with partners to ensure top-tier client satisfaction, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Represent OLG at client meetings, industry events, and networking functions.
  • Track client interactions and maintain accurate records in CRM software.

Proposal Management

  • Lead the development of compelling proposals across OLG’s service areas.
  • Customize fee proposals and alternative arrangements with input from partners.
  • Conduct win/loss analysis on proposals and report on pipeline, conversion rates, and ROI.

Client Consultation & Solution Development

  • Understand OLG’s service offerings and align them with client needs.
  • Conduct initial client consultations, assessing needs to introduce the appropriate service line.
  • Present proposals, agreements, and pricing options to potential clients.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in business development for a professional services or legal firm.
  • Demonstrated success in the Houston market.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven track record in new business generation and client relationship management.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Experience with CRM software, and MS Office proficiency, particularly in Excel.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
