Basic Job Functions:
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Marketing Intelligence Analyst to join Nucor. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights that drive strategic and business decisions. Flexibility for occasional travel as required. You will play a key role in identifying market drivers and trends in the economy and steel-consuming industries, contributing to Nucor's overall growth and success.
Key Responsibilities include:
1) Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources, with a focus on macroeconomic data, market trends, and internal sales/shipment data in North America.
- Utilize statistical methods and tools to identify patterns, correlations, and forecasting.
- Create clear visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Support market segmentation studies in sectors such as construction, heavy equipment, and energy.
- Monitor industry developments, market shifts, and competitor activities to provide strategic recommendations.
- Assist in developing supply-demand forecasts by analyzing historical data, market trends, and seasonality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies effectively

Minimum Qualifications:
- Relevant Experience: A proven track record of 1 or more years in roles such as Marketing Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar positions within the manufacturing industry.
- Data Analysis Proficiency: Experience with data analysis and presentation tools, including Excel, PowerPoint (incl think-cell add-ons), and Power BI. Willingness to learn different tools as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data analysis and quantitative methods
- Previous experience with industry trends and research
- 4-year degree in economics, business or engineering
