Waste Services

VLS Waste Services provides customized waste processing solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous industrial and commercial waste, including landfill diversion and sustainability programs, solidification of liquid waste, recycling, wastewater treatment, and waste sequestration.

Railcar Services

VLS Railcar Cleaning and Repair Services division provides specialty cleaning services for difficult-to-clean products, including chemicals, hardened materials, and pressurized gases, and comprehensive repair services for certified full-service repairs, tank car qualifications, and maintenance.

Marine Services

VLS Marine Services division offers state-of-the-art barge cleaning, repair, and gas-free facilities for various chemical solvents and downstream petroleum products.

Requirements:

The Client Services Supervisor is an integral part of all pricing efforts. This position is responsible for new client setup, including the collection of client MSA's, credit applications, and all required documents pertaining to new client setup and approval. In addition to managing the new client setup process, this individual will review and approve client quotes and serve as the gatekeeper for all pricing within the region. All client proposals and quotes will be managed through an internal approval process in which the Client Services Supervisor will oversee. This role will report directly to the Director of Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Client Setup Process: Assist with customer setup, pricing, and proposal management. Manage the onboarding process for new clients, including contracts and credit approvals
  • Client Approval Process: Oversee the new client approval process to ensure accurate setup
  • Pricing Management: Establish and enforce pricing strategies for the region; review and approve client quotes
  • Internal System Management: Manage profile and pricing entry within the internal system
  • Client Contact Management: Oversee changes to client contacts, contracts, billing instructions, and pricing
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve client pricing and billing issues
  • Sales & Client Reporting: Prepare reports as needed
  • Price Increase Management: Oversee price increase initiatives and ensure pricing accuracy for corporate and national accounts
  • Liaison Role: Act as a bridge between the sales and operational teams
  • Service Management: Oversee daily client interactions, ensuring timely service delivery and issue resolution
  • Billing & Invoicing: Ensure all billing is accurate and resolve any discrepancies
  • Operational Coordination: Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with waste management standards and client expectations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Environmental Science, or a related field)
  • In lieu of a degree 7-10 years of direct experience
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or client services, ideally within the environmental or waste management industry
  • 2-5 years of Leadership/Supervisory experience
  • Familiarity with pricing strategy development, proposal management, and corporate account maintenance
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and finance
  • Knowledge of waste management standards and compliance requirements
  • Prior experience in managing a team or direct reports, with an emphasis on training and performance management
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Problem-solving skills, particularly in client services and operational environment
  • Experience in client on-boarding and management, including pricing, and contract review
  • Knowledge of billing, invoicing, and discrepancy resolution
  • Proven experience in managing client relationships and ensuring high client satisfaction

Compensation: $82,000 - $90,000
