Driven by a promise to serve our cancer community, the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation raises funds for all phases of cancer care. The Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation provides funding to the Windsor Regional Cancer Program to purchase equipment and amenities. Funds raised provide comfort and care for our patients not otherwise funded by the Province of Ontario. 100% of funds raised remain local and ensures our Cancer Program remains one of the leading programs in Ontario.
The Opportunity:
The Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Fundraiser. Reporting to the Manager of Fundraising, the successful candidate is an experienced fundraising/sales professional, with an undeniable skill for creating and building relationships within the community. They are a high performer, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding expectations through strong relationship building, confident communication, and strategy. They are a team player, with a knack for connecting with others and fostering a collaborative working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Manager of Fundraising in achieving the goals of the department.
- Attract new and/or re-engage lapsed donors.
- Identify, solicit, acquire, cultivate, and steward relationships with existing and prospective donors, sponsors and third-party partners as assigned.
- Work with third-party events/fundraisers to ensure retention and support revenue growth.
- Support the development of standardized processes, procedures, etc. for the fundraising department.
- Maintain accurate and up to date donor records in the CRM. Record all donor communication and updates.
- Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities.
- Create and execute donor communication plan for assigned portfolio.
- Support the Manager of Fundraising in developing fundraising strategies and tactics for annual and campaign-based objectives.
- Provide support to 3rd party fundraisers and donors during campaign.
- Complete grant applications, fulfill requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Fundraising or Sales, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Post secondary education in a related field.
- Proven success in managing significant donor/customer relationships.
- Possess and demonstrate a keen ability to understand the needs and interests of individual donors, corporations and other funding bodies in order to identify untapped potential and future growth opportunities.
- Experience working in Campaigns.
- CFRE designation or in progress considered an asset.
- Extensive experience with CRMs and Microsoft Office products.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to cultivate donor/customer relationships and build strong long-term, meaningful bonds.
- Experience in grant applications and administration an asset.

** Work week is generally day shift, Monday to Friday, but evenings and weekends will be required from time to time to attend events, meetings, etc. as needed.
