Account Executive, Group Sales
Department: Ticket Sales & Service
Reports to: Manager, Group Sales
Join our team and be a part of the Memphis Redbirds. We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and energetic person to join our dynamic ticket sales staff. You will be responsible for driving revenue by selling season tickets & mini plans for the Memphis Redbirds. The selected candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends throughout the baseball season. Job Description/Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for, but not limited to, the sales and renewals of Groups, Suites and Hospitality Sales
- Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals for Group Tickets
- Establish strong relationships with Group Leaders, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Represent the team at community and sporting events to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Account Executives will be expected to self-prospect and fill their pipelines with self-prospected leads.
- Input data and maintain current data within the CRM system to grow established relationships and generate new leads.
- Provide a superior level of customer service to existing and new business clients. You should under promise and over deliver to fulfill the best experience possible in the ballpark leading to high renewal rates.
- Create and contribute positively to the sales team culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members.
- Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to, being on-call to pull tarp and set-up Saturday/holiday fireworks and work other events at AutoZone Park as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in ticket, group, season, suite, or sponsorship sales; sports and entertainment industry experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business or related field preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- Strong work ethic, team-oriented attitude, and enthusiasm for contributing to the success of the department and team.
- A Working knowledge of ticketing systems, PowerPoint, and CRM systems is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The job requires employees to function in a high-activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. Employees will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/downstairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
