Job Overview;As a Business Development Rep (BDR) at Journey Freight International the focus is to initiate new business through cold calling and soliciting potential clients.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Define a territory/shipper-consignee list provided by the lead generator.
- Cold Calling: Proactively reach out to potential clients (shippers and consignees) from the master list.
- Sales Pitches: Receive specialized training on various sales approaches tailored to different roles (e.g., shipper, consignee, traffic manager).
- Communication: Engage with prospects solely via phone and email to introduce JFI solutions.
- Prospect to Prospect/Customer: This business development role concludes when a prospect is converted into a prospect/customer. Compensation based on conversion, but are freed from following up and redirecting rejected quotes.
- Handover: Once a customer quote is requested for a given lane, the account is handed over to an Account Executive for further management.
- Prospect Entry: Enter leads into the system.
- Shipper and Consignee Calls: Responsible for contacting cold calling lists and shipper/consignee lists from previous loads generated.
