Transport Express LLC is seeking a skilled Account Executive to serve as the vital link between shippers and carriers. This role involves coordinating pickup and delivery schedules to meet customer needs while maintaining a high standard of integrity and performance. The account executive will focus on developing a sales pipeline, prospecting new accounts, and securing relationships with reliable carriers. Unique to our company, account executives manage all aspects of transactions, providing a single point of contact for customers. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and resolve issues effectively.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline of steady customers for their shipping needs.
- Establish relationships with reputable carriers to efficiently move loads.
- Provide quotes and negotiate orders with carriers.
- Oversee the handoff of loads to dispatchers and manage any re-booking or invoicing issues.
- Resolve customer and carrier inquiries, ensuring seamless transactions and collections.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience in sales, account management, dispatch or brokering of TL and LTL transportation services preferred.
- Self initiative and strong problem solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A degree in business, sales or logistics preferred.
