About The Team
The Securities Processing Solution is an integrated front-to-back solution that provides services to US broker-dealers and broker-dealers outside the US. You will be part of the Securities Processing Development team. The Development team is a globally disperse team located across the US, Canada, UK, and India. The teams cover the design, development, and testing centered around 2 complex trading related platforms, one for Investment and Advising the other Clearance and Settlement. The team will engage directly with Product Managers and/or Clients to correct, create, and enhance the platforms based on the company’s strategic direction, technological climate, market trends, client input, and industry and regulatory requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Business Analyst you will assist the development managers and software engineers by working with Product Managers and/or clients to capture, document, and communicate business requirements and your understanding. Your work will include:
- Gathering necessary and pertinent information to prepare business case/requirements that will include client feedback and industry research (going to websites as an example).
- Documenting information through the creation of a Functional Specification Document, a Business Process Document or even a technical User Guide.
- Working with Securities Processing Reporting solution, learning the data model, SQL programming, implementing and enhance Business Intelligence reporting and analytics.
- Attending internal meetings, participating in Scrums and potentially meetings with clients.
- Assisting other business analysts, dev managers and/or software engineers in their day-to-day tasks, such as designing, documenting, and/or testing a software enhancement or correction.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluent in English; Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptability, a drive to learn, and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
