Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team in New Jersey. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our products to potential customers. You will utilize your technical sales skills and product knowledge to effectively communicate the value of our offerings and drive sales growth.

Duties:

  • Consistently exceed your sales quota by retaining, growing, and prospecting clients within your account territory.
  • Use product knowledge in conjunction with knowledge of customers’ project objectives to develop unique value propositions supported by financial impact analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Use Salesforce for customer relationship management activities.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, meetings, and seminars to promote products or to learn about industry developments.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance relationships with key personnel for product development and sales.
  • Willingness to travel nationally on a frequent basis.
  • A drive for self-education and learning new products, services, and business processes.
  • Other activities include proposals, pricing, presentations, forecasting, program management, and other duties as required.
  • The primary duty is to exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters.
  • Identify the right customer stakeholders and build connections quickly to drive consensus for deals; works cooperatively with wide range of internal stakeholders for deal success.
  • Independently and collaboratively strategize for solving deal-level challenges.
  • All other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform the Technical Sales Representative job successfully, an individual must have prior experience in sales. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill, and/or abilities required. Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of sales experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in technical sales or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients
  • Proficient in computer networking concepts and technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for achieving sales targets

Driving Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record with minimal traffic violations.
  • Must be 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.
  • Able and willing to travel to customer sites.
  • Able and willing to do overnight travel up to 20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific industry sales experience is a plus, especially a proven track record of success selling advanced battery chemistries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,500.00 - $85,800.00 per year
