Performance Pipe, A Division of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP, a multi-plant manufacturer of polyethylene pipe and molded fittings is seeking a Municipal and Industrial Territory Sales Manager who will be responsible for sales and marketing of HDPE pipe products in the Northeastern USA. The position will be based in the primary area of coverage in the Northeastern USA.
Responsibilities
- This position requires visible and vocal support of Operational Excellence, Journey to Zero, and ICARE principles
- Develop and execute annual territory sales plan for Municipal, Industrial, and Energy products in the defined territory
- Cultivate and maintain trust-based customer relationships, understanding their needs to position Performance Pipe as the preferred supplier and ensure adequate coverage of the defined territory
- Effectively communicate and reinforce company strategic initiatives and objectives
- Monitor market intelligence and communicate with the Global M&I Sales Manager and leadership team
- Identify market trends and competitor activity while staying abreast of product development efforts to strengthen competitive advantages
- Maintain Performance Pipe’s leadership position in the various industries through seminars, board committees and conferences
- Manages sales budget and travel expenses
Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering, Technical, Business Administration or a related field
- Previous pressure pipe sales experience through distributor networks are a plus
- 5 - 10 Years of previous experience as a technical sales representative or sales manager consistently meeting or exceeding sales and profitability targets
- Proven ability to drive the sales process by negotiating/closing sustainable sales
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence all levels of customer’s organization; broaden account penetration beyond procurement organization
- Strong business acumen and industry expertise with the ability to guide and influence internal resources
- Excellent people management skills
- Position requires up to 50% travel primarily within the Northeastern USA with some travel to international locations as well
- Must reside within the territory or willing to relocate within 3-months of employment
