Job Description

Under general supervision of the IT Supervisor II Enterprise Application/Web Development Unit. The incumbent will perform a variety of recurring, well defined tasks for in-house applications and COTS applications and/or on information technology system problems, and work with technical specialists. The incumbent must have a proficient knowledge of data processing concepts, practices, methods, and principles within the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or Agile, and work as a team member with other programmers and represent the office at internal and external meetings supporting the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (CDFW) Application Architecture. This position is under the Software Engineering domain of IT Classification Consolidation. Requirement Analysis and Design Application Development and Support Programming and solutions Deployment.

Working Conditions

Ability to work at a desk using a computer keyboard several hours a day. Involves sitting most of the time, but may require walking or standing. This position will be headquartered in the ITSB offices, but the incumbent will be expected to frequently visit the Administration Division offices, located in another building within walking distance. Attend meetings; work with staff statewide to complete work assignments. Alternate Workweek Schedules may be allowed if deemed compatible with branch objectives. Occasional travel is required within the state of California via private or public transportation (i.e., automobile, airplane, etc.). Travel may include overnight stay. Must be able to deploy with short notice for extended periods (up to 7 days) that will include overnight stay. We are asking all EADU staff to work one day per week from office and additional 2 flex days per month work from the office.
