Job Duties:
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities for cordage and rope products across various industries, including marine, industrial, and recreational sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current customers to ensure repeat business and identify additional sales opportunities.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the company’s cordage and rope product lines, including material specifications, applications, and performance capabilities.
- Present product information and benefits to potential clients through in-person or virtual meetings, trade shows, and product demonstrations.
- Develop proposals, negotiate pricing, and finalize contracts with clients to secure new and repeat business.
- Visit customer sites or distribution locations nationwide to evaluate needs, conduct site assessments, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Work closely with product development, operations, and logistics teams to ensure customer requirements are met and orders are delivered on time.
- Analyze market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and contribute to product improvement.
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance metrics for assigned territories and accounts.
- Regularly report on sales activity, client feedback, and market conditions to management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 3-5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on cordage, rope, or industrial products preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing long-term customer relationships.
- Familiarity with different types of cordage, ropes, and related products, including their applications and specifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms effectively to close deals.
- Willingness to travel frequently to meet with clients and attend industry trade shows and events.
- Ability to assess customer needs and provide tailored solutions for their cordage and rope requirements.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time and priorities efficiently.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check (including MVR check).
