Software Tester

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through rigorous testing and validation processes. You will collaborate closely with developers and product managers to identify issues, enhance functionality, and deliver high-quality software solutions. In your cover letter, please specify that you are able to legally work in Canada and can be available to work from our office in North Vancouver from January 15, 2025.

Duties

• Design, develop, test, implement and oversee IT systems
• Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement within an organization's IT infrastructure
• Review existing IT systems and internal processes
• Develop, implement and apply policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of software products and information systems, and to ensure that all systems and processes meet organization standards and user requirements
• Develop quality assurance procedures and tests for the development and improvement of new and existing systems
• Identify, analyze and document discrepancies and ensure that appropriate adjustments are made
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on computer systems.

Experience

• Experience working with LAMP stack development environment is a plus.
• CI/CD experience with Github is preferred
• Experience with PHP Unit testing is an asset
• Minimum 4 years of full-time computer quality assurance experience;
• Minimum 3 years of QA automation experience.
• Experience with Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and Test-driven development (TDD), minimum 2+ years of Cypress.io is required
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $74,620.00 per year
