We are currently seeking a Corporate Sales Specialist to join our team at our Play HQ office. The successful candidate will be responsible to direct Mastermind Toys' corporate (business-to-business) sales operations to ensure that profits are maximized, and sales targets are met. The successful candidate is highly driven - leading customer acquisition and sales generation efforts, engaging with the cross-functional team to ensure successful ordering and execution, and monitoring team performance and sales goals all while delivering the unique Mastermind Toys brand of service and satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:

Sales & Profitability

  • Manage, maintain, and build upon Mastermind Toys’ portfolio of corporate sales customers
  • Prospect and qualify new corporate sales leads
  • Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects
  • Create, plan, and deliver presentations on company products
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects and sales activities, keep current by updating account information regularly
  • Provide exceptional customer service by walking clients through their event(s) from moment of booking to post event relationship building
  • Demonstrate sound retail business acumen and has prime responsibility to lead the achievement of expected business and financial objectives through planning, communicating, implementing, and assessing actions that contribute to the profitability, success, and growth of the corporate store
  • Understand and make decisions consistent to company vision and pillars of operation; key objectives; department budget, goals and KPI(s). Analyze results and initiate actions to achieve goals
  • Generate internal forecasting, logistic coordination, budgeting, and short/long range planning to drive business growth
  • Leverage other sales office resources and administrative/support staff to achieve personal and team related revenue goals
  • Identify opportunities and leverage market knowledge to facilitate the delivery of business initiatives and liaise with both internal and external partners
  • Escalate material or potentially material issues impacting the stable, profitable administration of the corporate business

People

  • Manage program elements across multiple stakeholders including marketing, creative, store ops, merchandising, finance, and distribution centre
  • Along with Customer Service Manager, plan & organize the recruitment & selection of qualified people using established processes to adequately staff department in a manner that enhances the business reputation and maintains a positive, honest, and respectful workplace culture
  • Provide a variety of training and developmental support for temporary corporate sales team members, including conducting one on one meetings
  • Supervise and monitor temporary staff to ensure they are applying established policies to resolve customer satisfaction and use authority within established parameters to provide appropriate resolution. Queries of a non-standard or challenging nature are escalated for resolution

Project Management

  • Support retail store locations by assisting in procurement of product, information, or documents to help procure and execute in-store corporate sales
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to seek information on behalf of the customer, including the procurement of quotes for products or services related to their order
  • Prepare, key in, edit and proofread invoicing and order information
  • Work directly with internal partners to maintain execution timelines on corporate orders
  • As needed, work alongside fulfillment staff to complete orders/provide quality or accuracy checks
  • May compile data, statistics, and other information to support research/reporting
  • Consistently apply all health and safety practices to ensure personal safety; the safety of others and the efficiency of the facility

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree/diploma in Marketing, Business, or related field is an asset.
  • 2-4 years previous sales experience (Previous Mastermind experience is an asset)
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Proficiency using Outlook applications, email, word, excel and customer service-related software systems
