Job Summary
Eastern Washington University is currently seeking a Program Coordinator to join the Student Financial Services team. This role serves as the primary point of contact for students, parents, faculty, and staff concerning financial inquiries and transactions. Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, handling inquiries, resolving billing issues, and facilitating various financial transactions. This position works collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient operations and uphold the office’s commitment to service excellence and adherence to federal, state, local laws and regulations, as well as University policies, and procedures.
This position involves coordinating and delivering a wide array of financial services within the Student Financial Services office. Key responsibilities include resolving billing inquiries, clarifying tuition and fee policies, processing payments, and maintaining precise financial records.

- This position performs specialized fiscal work related to student financial activity
- This position will address questions and concerns regarding tuition and fee charges, payment due dates, and payment plans.
- Provide friendly, professional assistance to students, parents, faculty and staff via phone, email and in-person regarding payment options, refunds, and financial holds.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently for both students and university departments.
- Provide students with important dates and deadlines pertaining to financial matters, ensuring timely adherence to payment schedules.
- Process cash payments, accurately record transactions and update student or department accounts in a timely manner. Provide receipts and documentation for all transactions.
- Balance cash drawers at the end of each shift, reconciling with transaction records. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Required Qualifications
- High school graduation or GED
- One year of cash handling experience
- Two years of customer service or student service experience, with demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.
