Compensation: $58,000 - $76,125 (depending on experience)

Overview

The Inside Sales Representative verifies and maintains records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Interacts with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints.

Additionally, this position is responsible for supporting current waste fuels customers and developing leads to any potential customers within an assigned territory. This position will be accountable for achieving specific volumes, revenues, and pricing levels in accordance with the department’s annual budget and/or forecast. Provides support and technical service to existing accounts; and develops new accounts consistent with the department’s marketing strategy. Supports a good standing in the community, sustainable operations, and adheres to and upholds all company policies, safety standards and federal / state regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Work safely and adhere to all safety policies.
  • Be an ambassador for the facility, both internally and externally, defining and promoting the facility’s position, image and character.
  • Verify shipment contents with production, to ensure manifest for loads are correct.
  • Provide assistance to the customer for completing all required paperwork, Ex Profile Form, Manifest.
  • Maintain schedule of material for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Provide production with the appropriate information needed. Ex. AF Volumes.
  • Responsible for the overall management, quality, and information accuracy of the workflow management system (WFMS), including, but not limited to, Maximo & Viewpoint.
  • Resolve customer service or billing issues.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, waste codes, container count, and other discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or record keeping purposes.
  • Prepare Quarterly and Annual regulatory reports. Ex Customer Billing Reports, Customer Reports.
  • Ensure the facility operates in a customer-focused atmosphere.
  • Maintain good relationships with customers through regular and continuous contact.
  • Provide a direct liaison with customers concerning the company’s services, payment requirements, technical services, environmental compliance, and other issues.
  • Focus on Inside Sales; calling on new and existing/previous prospects/customers and waste streams.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to the customers.
  • Assist in collections of outstanding balances of delinquent accounts. Strive to keep all accounts current and minimize the company’s Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Stay informed with Federal and State regulations applicable to waste fuels and waste disposal.
  • Conduct or assist in the audits by customers and/or their customers to include pre-audit questionnaires, plant tours and any other issues pertaining to audits of the Company’s facility.
  • Participates in the preparation of annual budget, including sales volumes and prices. Assist AF Operation Manager with forecast regularly by providing quarterly volume projections and other information that may be required.
  • Other duties may be required and will be assigned as necessary

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to be on call and work overtime
  • Must have a high level of integrity and commitment to comply with all applicable federal / state / industry compliance, record keeping, regulations and standards.
  • Strong Interpersonal capabilities with ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, while building rapport with customers and team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites with accurate data entry skills.
  • Change Management: Outside the box thinker, with the ability to analyze current challenges, and implement change as needed.
  • Active Listening: Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
  • Coordination: Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
  • Monitoring: Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Social Perceptiveness: Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
  • Prefer previous experience with environmental compliance.
  • Prefer previous experience in manufacturing/operations with experience guiding teams and improving processes. Six Sigma methodologies experience a plus.
  • Due to the nature of this position, it is essential that the teammate be available to report to the designated work site / office and be ready to begin work when scheduled
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening which may include a physical, background check, and drug screen

Frequent exposure to walking on rocky, irregular surfaces that may be muddy and in reduced lighting conditions, moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, high and/or confined spaces, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions and explosives. Occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) lbs. independently and tolerate moderate noise levels.
