Job Title: SWSE Account Executive, Group Sales and Suite Rentals
Reports to: SWSE Ticketing Manager
Department: SWSE Tickets
Location: Sudbury Office – Not Remote

POSITION PURPOSE:
SW Sports & Entertainment is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Account Executive, Group Sales & Suite Rentals to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing the sales and experiences of various groups in the community attending any one of our live sporting events. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented individual with exceptional customer service skills and a passion for sports entertainment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for sales and solicitation of new and ongoing group ticket and suite rental business opportunities.
  • Find, present and close new leads and opportunities to attend SWSE games and events.
  • Build, maintain and nurture strong relationships with clients.
  • Responsible for the continued development of Group Experiences and Suite rental programs, including creation of new revenue streams.
  • Facilitate distribution of event tickets, welcome packages and post-event surveys to all clients.
  • Collaborate with the Ticket Manager in pursuing and booking suite rentals, processing payments, and providing information regarding upcoming rental opportunities to the rental contact list.
  • Maintain ticket databases including group sales targeting and bookings.
  • Analyze ticket and attendance results and to propose strategies to increase scanned percentages.
  • Provide customer service support and activate game night experience packages for group sales during games. (i.e. national anthem, mini game, practice programs, etc.).
  • Submits regular activity reports and performs related duties as required.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with both established clients and foster relationships with prospective and new clients.
  • Exercise discretion and utilize independent decision-making during events that will best represent SWSE and serve the client.
  • Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal/external clients and exemplify the Great Experience philosophies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent from a post-secondary institution.
  • Selling experience with preference in sports and event sales is considered an asset.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Self motivated with ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Detail oriented.
  • Exemplary customer service & communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel as required, provide own transportation.
  • Possess or the ability to acquire a valid driver’s license.
  • Proficient computer skills in Windows including MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to work staggered hours, evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Travel requirements will be moderate as per OHL Schedule.

COMPENSATION:

Compensation will be based on the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This job will involve working irregular hours, weekends and holidays to accommodate all Sudbury Wolves, Sudbury Five, Sudbury Cyclones and Sudbury Spartans games as well as select community events.
