SUMMARY

This role has day-to-day responsibilities analyzing and helping improve the processes within the claims department, including but not limited to, reviewing processes within the claims management systems to find efficiency gains, and reviewing state statutes to ensure all systems are set up to meet the latest requirements. In addition, the Process Specialist provides support on special projects and other duties as assigned by the Process Manager.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned


  • Generate and Analyze metrics on operational activities within the claims department.
  • Complete special projects assigned by the Process Manager

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong organizational and task management skills. Strong relationship management and proven experience delivering high level of internal and external customer service. Computer proficiency with strong skills in Microsoft Office applications. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • High school diploma or equivalent with 1-3+ years of experience preferred
  • Property claims handling experience· Lean Six Sigma ceritfication
  • FL Adjuster License, 6-20, required within 2 months after start date
  • Quality assurance, business analyst, and/or project management experience a plus
  • Microsoft Excel, GuideWire and/or Claim Center experience
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications and call center systems

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must possess the ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos as well as write simple correspondence. Must also be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Must be proficient with the following: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


REASONING ABILITY

Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must also be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Florida 6-20 Adjusters License is required and may be achieved once employed.
