Role Summary:
Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, Location Manager or Territory Manager, the Inside Sales Representative shall be motivated and well-spoken. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the products or services offered. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for communicating with customers and vendors, understanding their needs and ensuring a smooth sales process. The person in this role must be able to close sales.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Inside Sales Representative position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • Communicate with customers and vendors through various channels
  • Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints
  • Participate in sales and product training sessions
  • Process orders and quotes in business system
  • Provide vendor portal assistance to customers
  • Maintain records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
  • Communicate and coordinate with colleagues, customers, and vendors as necessary
  • Explain and articulate product features and applications
  • Make recommendations to customers for product selections
  • Make outbound calls to customers and follow up on quotes and leads
  • Understand customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunities
  • Maintain a database of current and potential customers
  • Provide the customer product submittal sheets for their approval and track their progress
  • Close sales and achieve sales targets
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

What you’ll need:

  • Work Experience: 2 years’ customer service, sales or distribution experience
  • Education: HS diploma or GED
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or computer systems
  • Organization Skills: Excellent work ethic; good verbal, and written communication skills
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; provide excellent internal and external customer service; experience handling escalated customer requests; negotiation skills
  • Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.     • Ability to sit for 8 hours a day
  • Physical Environment: Normal office environment;
  • Travel: Occasional travel to branches or to business-related functions such as training or seminars
Qualifications we prefer but don’t require:
  • Work Experience: 2 years’ electrical sales and customer service experience, Eclipse ERP experience
  • Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree
