Job Summary: Perry Roofing Contractors is seeking an Assistant Sales Associate to play a crucial role in supporting the sales team to drive business growth through proactive sales efforts and client relationship management. This hourly plus commission-based position offers recent graduates an exciting opportunity to kick-start their career in sales. Applicants must be motivated and have the initiative to be successful in this position.

Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The lists below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

1. Assist Sales Team: Prepare reports, help manage and coordinate incoming leads, schedule follow ups and coordinate follow ups as needed.

2. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Utilize various channels such as cold calling, email outreach, networking events, and social media to identify and cultivate leads.

3. Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with prospective clients to understand their needs, assess their requirements, and propose tailored solutions that align with our products and services.

4. Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and customer preferences to identify potential sales opportunities and inform sales strategies.

5. Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Keep accurate records of sales activities, leads, and opportunities in CRM software, and generate regular reports to track progress, analyze performance, and forecast future sales.

6. Product Knowledge: Learn about the company's roofing products, materials, and services to effectively communicate their features and benefits to customers.

7. Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining sales documentation to ensure efficient sales operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. Senior year graduates may apply.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and interact with customers effectively.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage leads, documents, and administrative tasks efficiently.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for attending client meetings and site visits.

Job Type: Part time or Full Time;

Pay: $15 an hour, plus potential for commission

Schedule: Monday to Friday, regular business hours with flexibility to accommodate customer appointments and events outside normal business hours. Occasional day travel.
