Role Overview
This global workstation product planning position is in the Advanced Compute Solutions Group, which is a high-energy, fast-paced, dynamic organization that offers an exciting and rewarding growth environment within HP. ACS develops the highest performing, most reliable and secure computers built for the industry’s most demanding workflows.
Our Workstations power the most demanding workflows for NASA, from the International Space Station to the Solar Dynamics Observatory. We are the computing power behind the most breathtaking VFX in several Hollywood productions that we all love and admire. Our innovative lineup has received several awards, including the prestigious Emmy and the Oscar.
The Z by HP Graphics Product Planning Manager is an essential role within the Workstations Product Planning organization and is dedicated to defining and bringing to market the graphics computing offerings across all desktop and mobile workstation product lines. This position requires advanced technical skills , solid business acumen and deep understanding of customer workflows & pain points across M&E, PD&M, and AEC vertical segments. As a graphics product planning manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing graphics portfolio. The ideal candidate must demonstrate expertise in guiding the organization on the right future graphics based on customers requirements, market trends, and future technology innovations.
This position is located in Fort Collins, CO; Austin, TX; or Houston, TX.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Develop strong customer relationships and deep understanding of their entire E2E experience journey to become a champion for their needs and pain points across the entire organization
- Define, articulate, and execute the graphics aggregated portfolio plan (APP) aligned with ACS’s overall strategic goals for both desktop and mobile workstations product lines
- Ensure future customer requirements for graphics computing are delivered across the entire portfolio through effective collaboration and influencing across the value chain
- Partner with graphics technology vendors and ISVs to identify and deliver new customer and business value creation opportunities across graphics
- Manage the graphics life cycle from launch through end of life, including release to production and transition planning gen-over-gen.
- Partner with marketing, category, and sales teams to develop effective Go-to-Market strategies, product positioning, and sales enablement materials.
- Define and track key product performance metrics. Analyze data to gain insights into user behavior and product usage, using these insights to to continuously enhance the graphics offer roadmap.
Experience, knowledge & skills:
- Proven experience (7+ years) as a Technical Product Manager or similar role in product planning and/or lifecycle management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Ability to think strategically, balancing a broad range of internal and external factors when identifying opportunities and proposing solutions
- Excellent business judgment, investigative, and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Able to distil complex concepts into easily understood insights for executive consumption, direction or decision-making
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business or related discipline
- MS or MBA preferred
The base pay range for this role is $153,800 to $200,750 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
