Job Summary
This position will analyze the needs, design, program, test and implement reports within the organization. Will provide in depth analysis of report findings in a summary, dashboard, graph or other format as specified by need. Will ensure timely creation and distribution of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and data as assigned. The Data Analyst reports to the Data Management Coordinator.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, analyze and generate reports for agency programs and administrators.
- Assist with distributing reports and dashboards to staff.
- Designs and develops data visualization solutions to communicate results to staff.
- Construct data queries, or refresh data queries for staff to retrieve pertinent clinical or administrative data.
- Perform and document manual data extracts and uploads/downloads as needed.
- Provide help desk support to end users.
- Provide initial and on-going training to support all programs.
- Maintains continued compliance with all security, integrity and privacy requirements of Lapeer County CMH and state and federal regulations.
- Researches, analyzes and coordinates data to ensure compliance with MDHHS and other regulatory agency data reporting requirements.
- Analyze health records for accuracy, completeness and quality.
- Assists with completion of monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the MDHHS and PIHP.
- Provide technical assistance and log in information to internal auditors and external quality reviewers.
Other Functions:
- Participates in agency and regional committees as directed.
- Participates in training and continuing education opportunities as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned in a positive, cooperative manner.
Employment Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s Degree or 2 years work experience in related field applicable to this position. Certification Microsoft SQL, SQL Server Reporting, and Microsoft Power BI preferred.
Experience:
- One to two years of experience analyzing data.
- Experience presenting/visualizing data in graphs or charts to help show/explain a trend or issue.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Knowledge of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Reporting Codebook and Reporting Requirements preferred.

- Able to maintain working relationships with staff and outside providers.

Salary: Entry: $ 49,857.60 6 months: $53,601.60 1st Year: $57,345.57 2nd Year: $61,845.02 3rd Year: $66,321.98 4th Year: $71,136.40
