5 Years or More? You'll earn up to $80K with no limit on commissions!

We are currently looking for a Government IT Sales Representative or Account Manager to serve government customers with their technology procurement needs. This individual will interact with existing customers and develop new prospects, primarily by phone to increase sales of the Team's products.
This role is primarily onsite at our office 90% of the time and visiting accounts and conducting in-person business development out of office about 10% of the time (4-5 hours a week average), traveling to clients as required via company van or personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
Your Day as a Government IT Sales Representative or Account Manager Will Consist of:
- Researching technology solutions for government clients
- Pricing and quoting technology solutions in accordance with government contracts and company pricing guidelines.
- Processing and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery of product and fulfilling client deliverables to ensure a WOW experience.
- Making phone calls and client site visits to maintain and increase the depth of your relationship as a trusted advisor with your clients.

For someone looking to progress in their role, after booking more than $1M in sales over the most recent trailing four quarters, the Inside Sales Representative is eligible for promotion to Account Manager, which results in a higher base salary and no limit on the size of their client portfolio or commissions earned. The Account Manager earns the latitude to strategically manage their accounts to maximize revenue and long-term profit.
Inside Sales ("Farmer") Key Responsibilities
About 80% of your revenue will come from our existing clientele, most of whom have been ordering from Computer Corner for decades. We are the largest independent reseller of HP products to the State of New Mexico. For these clients, your goal is to be responsive and ensure that they are purchasing products across our product spectrum, from workstations and servers to printers to supplies and service as well as esoteric items that will be a challenge to research. Our clients depend on us to reduce their administrative burden by helping them clear procurement from their "to do" lists while fulfilling the mission of their agency. We accomplish this by being responsive, being an expert on our products, and inspiring confidence that we understand both their current and future needs.
You will also get to work with prospective clients who have yet to make their first purchase with us, both through inbound word of mouth and outbound efforts on your part.
Along the way, you will receive extensive product training support from our product partners as well as pricing strategy support from our Purchasing and Operations Manager.

- Provide accurate quotes for tech products and strategically upselling complementary products to our existing clients.
- Account Representative: $12,000 per month (approx. $100K revenue)
- Account Manager: $24,000 per month (approx. $200K revenue)

- All quotes must be acknowledged within 2 hours and delivered within 24 hours on the next business day. This data is provided by our service board and measures how long it takes to close a request for a quote.

- 100% fulfillment of WOW Experience deliverables within 100 days of each transaction The goal is to confirm that we have fulfilled our brand promise, as described above. For each transaction, you will confirm delivery of product, the client's satisfaction with the product, as well as adoption of the product by the client, e.g., are there issues we can help resolve to help them deploy the product?
Manage Clients & Facilitate Their Technology Roadmaps

Success Metric: Deepen Relationship as Trusted Advisor
- Conduct 20 phone or in-person conversations with client IT contacts per month. The goal is to discover their spoken and unspoken needs, e.g., plans to upgrade the teleconferencing and multimedia capabilities across agency meeting rooms.

Success Metric: Increase Product Utilization Across Client Portfolio
- For technology procurement sales, we have five broad categories, from system sales (desktops, laptops, servers), to print sales (small to very large printers), to hardware and software sales (all other hardware and software), to supplies (print), and service (warranty, repair, cybersecurity).
- Product utilization is measured as a simple ratio where 3 categories sold in the last 12 months divided by 5 categories equals 60% product utilization.
- Account Representative: Increase adoption of all product offerings by 2% month over month during first 12-18 months. New representatives are not going to have a mature client portfolio, so growth is measured instead of absolute adoption.
- Account Manager: Maintain product category adoption rate of 60% on average across client portfolio.

Up to $50,000 for Candidates with 1 - 2 years in technology sales
Up to $65,000 for Candidates with 3 - 4 years in technology sales
Up to $80,000 for Candidates with 5 years of more in technology sales
