The Position & Title: Carrier Sales Representative/Operations Specialist
Job Description: As a Carrier Sales Representative, your key responsibilities are to establish and grow relationships with carrier partners while providing best in class service. With experience, your earning potential increases along with your growing portfolio of carriers. You will also receive the continuous education and professional development you need to succeed.
Responsibilities:
· Focus on building new relationships with carrier partners across the country, and growing existing.
· Sharpen your negotiation and customer service skills alongside our team.
· Build internal relationships with our business development team members and work together to find the best solution for Speedy clients.
· Emphasize service – you will be measured on KPI’s such as on-time deliveries, accurate rate confirmations, proactive tracking, and obtaining POD’s.
Qualifications:
· A strong work ethic is essential. If hard work does not come naturally to you, this may not be a good fit.
· Minimum 3+ years of experience in brokerage carrier sales
· Strong communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to get things done over the phone, through email, and face to face.
· Able and excited to build relationships with a wide variety of people. You will have fun talking to peers, truck drivers, dispatchers, and business leaders alike.
· Eager to contribute in a high energy/fast paced environment
· Develop new and grow existing carrier relationships (lead generation, cold calling, and referrals)
· Negotiate price, drive process and improve efficiencies
· Identify issues and work cross functionally to improve service and find better solutions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
