Established in 1999, Empack Spraytech Inc. is a leading aerosol manufacturer, liquid filler, and custom contract packager. Located in Brampton, Empack manufactures products for a wide range of markets including personal care, household goods, automotive, computer care, industrial and outdoors. We offer private label programs and produce a range of products under our house brands that include emzone, zytec Germ Buster, and SunZone.
Quality Assurance (QA) In Process Auditor – Brampton, Ontario
Afternoon Shift - Monday to Friday - 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM
What you will do:
1.Online QA Auditing
· Monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) on multiple production lines for quality auditing and inspection requirements.
· Provide the necessary guidance to the line staff and report any violations to the QA Manager and Technical Director.
· Overseeing and supervising line clearances and job closures- includes verifying cleaning, sanitization, physical clearance measures &documentation requirements.
· Ensure production staff follows required GMP practices for hygiene, equipment clearance and cleaning procedures, and production set up.
· Review & verification of “Checkweigher” set up and required Challenge Test activities
· Ensure proper execution of online testing following the proper analytical testing methods or SOPs for required examination of finished products’ Key Quality Attributes (KQAs). KQAs include but are not limited to:
o Fill weight checks- for both product`s concentrate & required componentry.
o Product Performance and Physical checks – visual conformance of products and labels, functionality test, etc.
o When a performance KQA is in doubt, compare against previous approved production retain for verification.
· Oversight and initiation of Batch records and ensure production staff are timely and complete.
2.GMP Packaging Components Inspection.
· Ensure that each Packaging component used in production is properly released and tagged.
· Track and reconcile all packaging components.
· Coordinate any product non-conformances.
3.GMP Documentation
· Participate in GMP documentation closure of filling jobs and submission of documentation to head office.
· Maintain GMP documentation and data integrity practices.
· Participate in required GMP audits.
4.FG Retain Samples
· Pull Retain samples from the Production according to the instructions in the packaging master file.
· Properly label the samples and log it in the Finished Product Retention Inventory Log and assign a location in the retain room.
What you will need to be successful:
- Post-secondary diploma in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or a diploma in a in Science based field of study
- 2 plus years of work experience in a GMP regulated industry (Pharmaceutical, Food, Consumer product or Personal Care Product manufacturing setting in Technical or Production functions) or five plus years of experience in absence of formal post-secondary education.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues.
- Possess the confidence to know when to escalate issues to QA Manager or other senior staff.
· Capable of working at a consistently fast pace.
· Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
· Accuracy with a high attention-to-detail.
· Ability to multi-task in high-pressure environments
· Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel is required.
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
