Sr Director, Sales Operations
Summary:
In partnership with the Senior Vice President of Operations and the leadership team, the Senior Director, Sales Operations will be responsible for leading and optimizing the sales operations function to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment across the organization. This role involves managing sales processes, systems, and tools, and ensuring that the sales team has the resources and support necessary to achieve its goals.
Job Description:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute sales operations strategies that align with the company's overall business goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to create and implement plans, forecasting, and establish performance metrics.
Process Optimization:
- Design, implement, and refine processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure processes are standardized and aligned with best practices.
Partner Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key partners.
- Act as the primary relationship owner for distribution partners, addressing concerns, and inquiries.
- Manage partnership agreements, including contract negotiations, renewals, and amendments.
Sales Technology and Tools Management:
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of sales process technologies and tools, including CRM systems.
- Ensure the sales team is effectively trained on and utilizing these tools.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on performance, forecasts, and operational efficiency to senior management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between sales and other departments to address issues and drive results.
Change Management:
- Lead and manage change initiatives within the sales organization to adapt to evolving market conditions and company goals.
- Communicate and drive adoption of new processes, tools, and strategies.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee the optimization of business processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity across the organization.
- Implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and maximize resource utilization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in business operations, with a minimum of [5] years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving performance and operational efficiency.
