Aquatech Consultancy Inc. is seeking an externally focused Business Development Manager to help lead our business development efforts and drive growth within the Northern California area. In this position you will be responsible for supporting business development activities that include, but are not limited to, identifying new opportunities, planning and positioning to win these opportunities [capture planning], Request for Proposal [RFP] analysis and go/no-go decisions across 4 markets and 3 business lines in Northern California.

The position is in Northern California supporting Offices in Walnut Creek, Novato, and Auburn.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead marketing efforts collaboratively with Aquatech teams of professionals.
- Generate custom material for proposals and presentations with minimum guidance, including writing/editing text, design layout, custom graphics, tailoring resumes, and integrating schedules.
- Ability to develop relationships and engage at all levels within partners (Sales to C-suite)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, balance multiple priorities, achieve deadlines
- Engaging personality, polished verbal and written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Prospecting and building new relationships and evangelizing ACI to design consultants and similar businesses
- Research and develop new markets of business
- Track projects, business sector/market activities, and special events to create content for social media.
- Work with senior leadership to identify marketing opportunities.
- Assist senior leadership in developing strategic plan elements specifically related to marketing
- Collect and present data on internal marketing analytics and provide recommendations
- Actively participate in the development and execution of company long-term strategic plans
- Manage marketing budget
Minimum Experience:
- Associate degree in Marketing or a related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading Marketing efforts in an organization, preferably the A/E/C industry.
- Experience creating branded line sheets and tailored marketing pieces for diverse sectors.
- Ability to effectively communicate a thorough knowledge of service offerings, business development initiatives, market research techniques, marketing opportunities, and brand strategy.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook), and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
