What You’ll Be Doing
As the Senior Business Analyst you will be joining CIBC’s Infrastructure Project Delivery team, with a focus on business analysis impacting Operations (Retail Account Services, Client Account Management, and Capital Markets and Wealth Management Operations). You will be responsible for all aspects of business requirements supporting project delivery, and contributing to transformational projects enabling the delivery of Infrastructure strategies, which impact internal stakeholders and our CIBC partners. You will act with urgency while exploring innovative ideas to deliver solutions that exceed client expectations. Please note that we are looking for a candidate with experience in business analysis within Capital Markets/Wealth Management.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per month on-site, while other days will be remote. This is subject to change based on business and project requirements.
How You’ll Succeed
- Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements. Develop High-Level and Detailed Business Requirement documents and any other required documents utilized in the CIBC Enterprise Delivery Framework (EDF) project methodology using work-flow analysis and data modelling methodologies to define, explain and develop changes to Infrastructure systems.
- Analytical Thinking – Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Your experience should be sufficient to interpret requirements and identify risks to deliver accurate and complete requirements to both internal and external clients.
- Lead - You will lead Projects & Initiatives and ensure that requirement work packages are delivered on time, within budget, and with quality, as agreed to by the Project/Program Manager, Client, and/or Sponsor of each initiative. You will mentor Business Analysts and support Project work package deliverables and provide process re-engineering support using Lean and Six Sigma tools such as Value Add Analysis, QFD, FMEA relative to the project, and provide business analysis support through Requirements design and Testing
- Program and Project Management - Support implementation of projects and programs by presenting business specific requirements and supporting change management activities. Engage stakeholders and leverage CIBC’s Business Analysis center of excellence model to build collaborative relationships to deliver on enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate experience and are proficient in requirements and workflow analysis. It’s an asset if you are certified (IIAB, PMI-PBA), and experience in Agile Project Delivery. Knowledge of Capital Markets/Wealth Management is required. Broadridge experience is an asset.
