Business Development Manager- Global Interpreting Services

Company Background:

Global Interpreting Services continues to experience year-over-year growth, and we are looking to expand our sales team. Our team is focused on sustainable growth with a partnership approach when servicing our clients. Our culture is fast paced, supportive, team-orientated and dynamic. We provide interpreting, translating and training programs to clients nationwide. Our customers are in healthcare, education, and government. Global Interpreting Services is uniquely positioned for substantial growth in 2025 and we are looking for a dedicated Business Development Manager to join our team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in contributing to the overall sales goals. You will be responsible for managing and implementing special projects, developing client relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, responding to inquiries, and providing product information through business development efforts. This role is located in our Clinton Township office (no remote work) where you will receive training, coaching and mentorship.

A typical day will consist of researching and contacting potential clients to establish a business relationship. Building relationships is paramount and you must be diligent in developing potential partnerships and improving sales through various methods. You will be involved in the preparation and delivery of sales presentations, responding to proposals, and managing relationships. You will collaborate with the sales and marketing team to ensure Global’s goals are met

Outbound calling and emailing will be an essential function, but not a sole focus.

Business Development Manager Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of company products, services, as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive
  • In-depth understanding of sales and customer service principles
  • Strong knowledge of the B2B market and customer dynamics
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Effective problem-solving
  • Adaptability and teamwork
  • Organization and time management
  • CRM knowledge a plus
  • Occasional travel many be necessary in the US
