Role Overview:

We are seeking two Quality Assurance Analysts to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications for our municipal government client. The ideal candidate will have experience in software testing, automation tools, and defect management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products. As a QA Tester, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, execute test plans, document test results, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process.

Deliverables:

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to validate software functionality and its performance.
  • Identify and report software defects, issues, and risks in a clear and concise manner using defect-tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Work closely with the development team to reproduce and verify reported issues and track defect resolution progress.
  • Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data, to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Participate in test environment setup, including configuration and deployment of software components.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Mandatory Certifications:

  • Must have foundation-level certification in any of the following: QA certifications such as ISTQB foundation, CSTE, CAST, CTFL, or CSQA.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • General university degree or specialized college diploma or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of software quality assurance or related software development lifecycle activities.
  • Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance, including test planning, test execution, and defect management.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques and tools (e.g., CopadoRobotic Testing, Selenium, etc.).
  • Ability to write and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking systems and test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps Test Plans).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and communicate test results and issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Copado, Jenkins, etc.).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with software projects using agile project management methodology, including processes for tracking requirements via user stories and related acceptance criteria, and tools to facilitate that (e.g. Microsoft Azure DevOps, or other similar tools).
  • Experience with Salesforce application testing.

Hybrid Work Model:

The Client supports a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected. This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and flexibility and is subject to change over time.

Consultants must attend at the designated Client location on their first day of their contract, and on their final date of their contract. All other days worked in the Client's office will be determined between the Hiring Manager and the candidate to support work.

24 hours notice will be provided to the candidate for required onsite work outside of the expected two days per week established at the beginning of the contract term between the Hiring Manager and the candidate.
