COMPANY PROFILE: Pella Windows & Doors of Central Kentucky has been serving the Kentucky area since 1996. Pella Corporation is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of premium-quality windows and doors.
SUMMARY: The Trade Sales Rep will be responsible for selling quality Pella products and services to architects, residential builders (new construction and remodeling), and contractors in the Lexington area. The sales process is comprised of prospecting for potential clients, pricing/estimating projects to new and existing customers, and serving as the primary customer service contact for Pella’s product line.

The sales process is comprised of prospecting for potential clients, pricing/estimating projects to new and existing customers, and serving as the primary customer service contact for Pella’s product line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES may include but are not limited to:
- Call on homeowners, contractors, and/or other customers in order to generate leads and maintain sales relationships
- Follow up on leads, as well as those generated by the sales branch offices
- Outside sales, including products and demonstrations at customers’ locations
- Negotiate and sell products and services
- Prospect for new customers
- Handle all organization, detail, and records for your customer base
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with builders, contractors, architects and trade organizations
- Provide follow up and excellent customer service to prospective and current customers
- Work showroom hours as well as trade shows and other marketing events
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate will be an energetic effective communicator who is able to excel in an independent sales environment. Additional requirements include:
- Relevant University/College degree preferred, or combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of the Construction/building industry (i.e. ability to read blueprints and do take-offs) preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a competitive, independent, and high volume sales atmosphere preferred
- Customer service oriented with exceptional interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work well in a team environment and get along with company personnel in all departments
- Hunter mentality with the ability to build strong rapport with customers
