About the Role!

We are looking for an experienced Senior Front-End Engineer to work closely with our partner, Epic Games.

You need to keep up with the progress of modern Web technologies like Node.js, React.js, ES6, TypeScript, and SASS, learn new things as soon as they come, be proactive, and have an attitude and willingness to make things better using your knowledge, skills, curiosity and "spider-sense".

You will be working in an engineering-oriented fast-paced environment, with minimal management and detailed task definition. You need to be a self-starter and excel at making your own decisions and organizing your work according to the declared goals.

This is a remote working position.

You will:

• Serve as a key contributor to the multiple sites and components. Assess technical challenges, design architectures, and run with implementations
• Ensure the utilization of the latest web technology to build user-friendly high-performance web applications
• Perform performance analysis and security hardening of web applications and infrastructure
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure design and business requirements are met

You have:

• At least 6 years of web development experience
• Strong knowledge of React/Redux architecture
• Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS, animations, transitions, responsive design and browser specifics
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript, ES6, TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience with a revision control tools
• Hands on experience building polished interactions for modern browsers which are performant, responsive, and utilize both CSS and JavasScript animations
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS cloud services
• Comfortable with the Unix command lines
• Self-directed; able to own your work and not be spoon-fed
• Be a good team player with great communications skills
• Must be a resident of Canada and be eligible to work in Canada

Nice to haves:

• Back-end development experience
• Working in EST or PDT timezone
• Experience in working with distributed teams
• Understanding of and willingness to work according to agile manifesto spirit
• Familiarity with video games industry and gamers community
• Diploma in C.S., Comp. Eng., or equivalent

Job Types:

Permanent, Full-time, Fixed term contract

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Pay: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
