Role Definition

Manages resources to develop parts and service information, data, and/or technologies Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages resources and budget for the development of parts and service information, data, and/or technologies

  • Develops detail-level work plans, schedules, estimates, resource, and budget requirements.

  • Monitors progress, conducts status meetings, and addresses challenges or delays.

  • Coordinates integration of projects, goals, content, media, tools and teams across various types of parts and service information, data, and/or technologies

  • Build an organizational climate/culture within a global team that encourages innovation, collaboration, excitement, commitment, and a sense of urgency toward business success

  • Engage extensively with the Advanced Content Management (ACM) users to define critical business requirements and prioritization of ACM enhancements

  • Partner with the Cat Digital ACM development team to articulate business needs and ensure requirements are met and projects completed on time

  • Collaborate with enterprise business partners on critical projects focused on improving dealer and customer technician efficiency

  • Seek out opportunities to better integrate SIS and ACM data and functionality with other Caterpillar business applications to improve the overall user experience, efficiency, and cost

  • Regularly update stakeholders on the progress being made with the execution of the ACM product strategy

  • Provides day-to-day guidance, coaching, development and support to technical staff.

Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.

Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Work experience with Product Support

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Excellent skills in team leadership, people development, organization, process management, collaboration, change management, attention to detail, and data analytics/interpretation

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and drive results with high autonomy

  • Strong financial and business acumen to analyze, interpret and make strategic recommendations regarding business investments and value

  • Excellent skills in team leadership, people development, process management, collaboration, and relationship development

  • Demonstrated history of innovation and using technology to solve problems

    • Demonstrated ability to investigate complex issues and recommend solutions
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
