TITLE: Principal AWS Engineer

REPORTS TO: Head of Product

DEPARTMENT: Product Development

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Principal AWS Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our AWS infrastructure to meet the needs of our rapidly growing business. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, optimize performance, and ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of our cloud-based systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience architecting, designing, and implementing AWS cloud solutions in a production environment.
Experience designing and building web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, and S3
Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices for cloud environments.
Strong analytical skills.
Sound judgment and detail-oriented.
Ability and passion to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIRED

Lead the design and architecture of AWS infrastructure solutions to support the company's technical requirements and business objectives.
Develop scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud architecture that meets performance and security standards.
Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to empower the engineering team.
Collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project success after delivery
Perform model management through the creation of data flows, recipes and complex Dashboards.
Optimize AWS infrastructure performance, reliability, and scalability through continuous monitoring, tuning, and performance analysis.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability issues to ensure optimal system performance.

DESIRED

AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
Agile software development experience.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with others in a professional and respectful manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills.
