Job Description

Help grow our business by developing a strong market strategy that will promote our business, increase customer interest, and drive sales. As a vital member of our sales team, the business development representative will develop and implement creative sales tactics to generate viable leads for us and maintain account relationships. When recruiting new business, a business development representative may be called on to facilitate introductions, provide an overview of a client's needs, and develop a presentation. From a skills perspective, the business development representative will be a strong communicator, both verbally and written, and able to collaborate effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for client interface and presentations.
  • Responsible for client retention and identification of new revenue streams.
  • Build upon client relationships and ensure a smooth creation, execution, assessment, and ongoing enhancement of customer needs.
  • Maintains market information related to competition, future opportunities and market trends.
  • Creates clear business strategy for key accounts.
  • Provides operational guidance and issue resolution for client business.
  • Tracking and management of major sales opportunities as they progress through the selling process.
  • Establishes annual budgets for marketing and sales expenses and enforces budgetary controls.
  • Represent company in industry organizations including participating actively in trade associations.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of customer relationship marketing and alliance partnerships
  • Demonstrates ability to identify new business in alignment with company strategy
  • Gather and analyze customer insight research
  • Deep product knowledge, specifications and applications
  • Solid understanding of industry logistics and technologies
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • A four-year college or university degree with major coursework in Construction Management or sales related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks within given deadlines.
  • Work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
