Job Purpose:
As the Director of Sales for Enterprise & Government Sales at Hawaiian Telcom you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and market expansion in the telecommunications sector in Hawaii. You will lead a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation while building strong relationships with high-profile local customers. Your primary focus will be on acquisition sales and revenue retention, with a keen eye on signaling strength and confidence both internally and externally.
Essential Functions:
- Leadership and Team Management (30%):
- Provide visionary leadership to the Enterprise & Government Sales team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive market penetration.
- Customer Relationship Management (25%):
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key enterprise and government clients in the local market, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
- Identify customer needs and pain points, tailoring solutions to meet their specific requirements and driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that address customer needs.
- Sales Strategy and Execution (20%):
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize revenue growth and market share in alignment with company objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Drive sales pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and deal closure, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.
- Sales Culture and Performance (15%):
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability, implementing best practices and sales methodologies to drive performance excellence.
- Implement sales enablement programs and tools to empower the sales team and enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Establish clear performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular feedback and coaching to drive individual and team success.
Education:
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Relevant Work Experience:
8 to 10 years in related field
Experience in enterprise or government sales, preferably in the telecommunications or technology industry.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets in a high-performance sales environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of sales professionals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the telecommunications industry, market trends, and customer needs in Oahu, Hawaii.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive business results.
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $200,000
