Job Description

House of Rental is a full-service Party, Event & Tent Rental company. Established in 1969. We are looking for a person with sales and customer service experience for our sales representative position. This position involves heavy phone contact with regard to party rental equipment and customer showroom appointments.

Experience with event planning, catering or rental industry preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
The Front Counter Person serves as the face of the organization, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and managing front desk operations efficiently. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A successful employee will:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, product information, and transactions.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing needs effectively and providing appropriate solutions.
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate department.
  • Manage appointments, reservations, and walk-in traffic.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and reconcile daily sales transactions.
  • Process paperwork, including forms, applications, and invoices accurately.
  • Provide support to other staff members and departments as needed.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as needed.
  • Order parts/supplies for equip repairs.
  • Follow up on over due rentals.
  • Assist with routing of drivers.
  • Open & Close the store.

This is a Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday 8 to 5pm and Saturdays 8 to 3pm

What we're looking for:Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (ie. Microsoft Office, email, and a Point of Sale system).
  • Displays self-discipline, maturity, competitiveness, good business and work ethics.
  • Ability and commitment to learn a vast product offering.
  • Account management and new business development experience with revenue responsibility preferred.
  • A clear understanding of the demands and pressures required to succeed in a service intensive business.
  • A professional attitude/demeanor, and a strong work ethic
  • A genuine concern for and commitment to the success of the company and customers
  • Strong interpersonal & organizational skills with a respect for and focus on quality.
  • Must be able to work Saturday.
  • Previous experience in customer service, retails or sales.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
