We are looking for an energetic and motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. The right candidate will identify, pursue, and qualify prospects aligned with the company’s customer personas. The SDR will generate qualified leads and schedule appointments for a team of Account Executives and report to a Business Development Manager (BDM).


This is a remote position with travel to Tampa or Dallas metro offices required as business needs dictate for in-person meetings.


What You’ll Do:

  • Follow up on inbound marketing requests (MQLS) to set appointments for Account Executives.
  • Mine Account Executive’s current databases and lists of former clients to re-engage opportunities.
  • Contact licensed financial advisors and insurance agents by making phone calls and sending emails.
  • Use sales enablement technology to deploy pre-defined communication sequences and manage prospecting cadences.
  • Research prospects’ websites to confirm contact information, tailor communication, and improve conversion.
  • Hit a goal of 2-3 appointments set per day. Prospecting efforts to achieve this daily target are usually a minimum of 75+ calls per day and 40+ emails each day.
  • Qualify prospective customers through targeted questions about their business strategy.
  • Inform prospects about LeadingResponse and its value proposition.
  • Collect, document, and maintain important information in Salesforce.com (CRM).
  • All other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 2+ years of outbound sales or customer service experience OR recent SDR training combined with outbound sales experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - no fear of the phone.
  • High energy, self-motivated, ambitious and passionate.
  • The desire to consistently improve against one’s own sales metrics.
  • Strong ability to motivate, persuade, and influence others.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time within a fast-paced environment.
  • Technically savvy with general computer, CRM, and email proficiency, Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Positive attitude and a growth mindset.
  • Knowledge of the financial advisory industry is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a remote environment and travel to office or Company events when needed.
