Position Title: Sales Representative (West Kootenays)
Location: West Kootenays, BC
Starting Minimum: $50,000 Annually
Job Type: Full Time Permanent
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sales Manager or designate, the Sales Representative will be responsible for managing the West Kootenay territory. The Sales representative will frequently travel through the territory, maintaining a close relationship with customers, as well as travel to Kelowna on a regular basis to participate in sales meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative’s responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Selling to the existing customer base, utilizing call sheets.
- Ensuring timely collection of account balances from customers on a weekly basis, including distributing statements, processing credits, and ensuring adherence to invoice payment terms.
- Expanding the existing customer base while adhering to company protocols for new account acquisitions.
- Attend monthly sales meetings in Kelowna and the annual March conference.
- Driving sales growth and margin improvement within the existing customer base.
- Exploring opportunities to introduce new product lines.
- Collaborating with customers to implement weekly advertising strategies aimed at business expansion.
- Promoting protein specialties and Made at Centennial items.
- Understanding market conditions, product innovations and sales; sharing relevant information with customers as part of value-added services.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
· 1 to 2 years progressive sales experience in a similar sized operation; a combination of post-secondary education and experience will also be considered.
· 1 to 3 years of related industry experience required.
· Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, colleagues, and staff.
· Self-motivated and able to work in, and outside of an office setting.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability and willingness to frequently travel.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.
