Job Description
Peterson Power Systems has a need for a Rental Sales Representative based at our Eugene, OR location.
SUMMARY
The Rental Sales Representative is responsible for developing Power rental business in the assigned territory. The rental sales duties include Power generation rental, Air compressors and Temperature Control equipment rental sales and equipment sales. A Rental Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining and improving relationships with existing and potential customers. This position requires the Rental Sale Representative to be away from the employer’s place of business more than 50% of the time interacting with customers at their locations and/or job sites.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Rent and sell Power generators (and supporting product lines, including temperature control and air compressors) equipment to meet sales objectives and revenue plan in the assigned territory (and surrounding) areas.
  • Manage the sales territory by analyzing, planning and controlling the market objectives and sales opportunities with a plan of accomplishment.
  • Build relationships with customer base; prospect new customers.
  • Maximize sales in assigned territory – analyzing sales opportunities, solving customer problems, and assisting sales promotion.
  • Complete and timely sales coverage of all customers/prospects within the assigned territory.
  • Coordinate financing; assist in gathering credit information and collections on past due accounts.
  • Review invoice and rental agreements for accuracy.
  • Follow up on all equipment rentals, deliveries, and invoicing to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze current and future markets and equipment needs for customer base.
  • Maintain current knowledge on all products and services for sale and rent by Peterson Power Rentals.
  • Using MS Office and CRM software, prepare customer correspondence and enter customer information into database.
  • Represent company with professional conduct.
  • Attend regularly scheduled sales meetings.
  • Regularly travel to branch locations and customer sites; Operate company or personal vehicle as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required, college degree in business or marketing is highly preferred; and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in sales/rental of generator/temperature control or compressed air is required; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
