Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Bindable offers a full stack of technology enabled services to insurance companies, intermediaries, financial institutions, affinity groups and other trusted brands. We enable strategic partners to better engage their customers through insurance distribution, product diversification and market expansion.

Bindable and their digital agencies have grown and we are looking for a Sales Development Representative to help bring us to the next level. The ideal candidate is smart, ambitious, and needs to have a great work ethic and learning acumen.

Role Description

The SDR is responsible for calling established leads as well as potential new affiliate relationships. The SDR will act in the capacity of a SDR for a specified amount of time and the role serves as an entry training program into the sales organization. If successful, SDRs would be eligible to move into a licensed sales agent training track.

The SDR’s primary responsibility would be to contact leads that come from our established Insurance as a Service (IaaS) partners and engage them with the appropriate scripting, confirm relevant details and transfer to a licensed sales agent. In addition, the SDR will be reaching out to prospective affiliate relationships, and the SDR will coordinate an outbound strategy with the Sales Manager on a daily and weekly basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle a high volume of outbound calls, 100+ daily
  • Warm transfer leads to licensed sales agents and if applicable schedule call backs
  • Provide superior customer service to customers, potential affiliate partners and agents
  • Opportunity to independently train, learn and grow into an Insurance Agent with the assistance of Sales Manager and Agency Sales Director
  • Continue education with specified designated training programs in order to build a database for future clientele
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
  • Help Sales Manager sell-in and close affiliate relationships
  • Help Sales Manager improve processes and procedures in our growing affiliate program
  • Show a high level of initiative and coordination in developing the role and the affiliate program

Qualifications and Skills:

  • BA or BS suggested but not required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google Office suites
  • Previous retail, professional, commercial or hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adjust to varied workload
  • Must be independent, self-motivated and organized
  • Must be high-energy and have a positive attitude

We are open to a candidate working remotely but if they live within an area to our Boston, MA or Phoenix, AZ office, we may require a hybrid schedule.
