Sales Representative

POSITION SUMMARY:

Founded in 1947, Alside is a leading manufacturer and distributor of exterior building products for residential and commercial remodeling and new construction markets.

The Sales Representative will be primarily responsible for growing target accounts and prospecting new customers both on-site and by visiting prospects and customers. They will be responsible for growing profitable business for the supply center.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Grows supply center profit by winning back previous customers, growing sales with existing customers and prospecting new customers.
  • Communicates and demonstrates core product knowledge, application, and value to the customer.
  • Understands, assesses, and anticipates customers' objectives, strategies, and requirements to identify and pursue sales opportunities.
  • Negotiates market value pricing for the account.
  • Builds a territory of accounts by developing customer relationships and growing sales for the branch.

REQUIREDEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years sales or customer service experience, in retail or distribution
  • Self-directed, highly organized, customer-focused, detail oriented, and competitive
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

REQUIREDEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Experience with CRM (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Working knowledge of core building material products (specifically windows & siding) for both single and multi-family applications
  • Familiarity with new construction, light commercial building needs in addition to remodeling & renovation

Benefits:

Employees are also eligible to participate in our company's 401(k) plan that provides matching contributions. Please note, benefits may vary for those working at a Union facility.
  • Employees will receive a minimum of eight hours of vacation time every month and 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
    • The New Years Eve Holiday may be observed in current or subsequent year depending on the day it falls.
    • Individual departments or functions that need to deviate from the above schedule due to operating requirements will do so on an as needed basis.
    • Employees who are subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement will follow the holiday schedule provided in the CBA.
  • Other Compensation may include, but is not limited to, bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range or wage scale. Position dependent.
  • The stated benefits are for full-time positions working 30+ hours a week. Part-time positions may be eligible for limited benefits.
