Job OverviewThe Senior Automotive IoT Account Executive is a automotive IoT sales professional that actively prospects and cultivates new connected car business relationships that drive IoT revenue for T-Mobile. Responsible for working with automottive companies to implement new connected car initiatives that drive strategic revenue & realize cost savings by using T-Mobile IoT and it's solutioning resources.
The Senior Automotive IoT Account Executive is a sales visionary and is passionate about the automotive industry by solving business problems and challenges with connectivity solutions that help customers grow with technology. The Senior Automotive IoT Account Executive leverages their extensive automotive industry experience in connected car sales and familiarity working with international headquarter corporations to prospect, build and sign new books of business. They are responsible for connected car opportunity and account planning, managing a sales funnel and forecasting and will drive success through collaboration with customers, T-Mobile Executives, Strategic Partners, and internal T-Mobile resources.
The role requires a consultative and solution selling approach with experience in deal negotiation up to the C-level. This role includes driving the strategy, building a broad and extensive contat map, and managing the entire sales cycle – from identifying the right solutions or partnerships and building a competitive value proposition to negotiating through close. Job Responsibilities:
- Drives new business acquisition for T-Mobile for Business. Leverages understanding of connected car technology, market competition and the general OEM business climate. Defines and implements sales plans to strategically build a network of key clients for target companies. Achieves or exceeds assigned sales targets and other assigned objectives.
- Works internally with T-Mobile teams to deliver responses to Request for Proposal/Request for Information (RFP/RFI) inquiries. Partners with internal teams and resources from Marketing, Sales Engineering, Sales Support, Product & Development, Pricing, etc., to prepare for customer facing presentations. Negotiates and closes business deals. Aligns actions to TFB and Company Vision, Mission, Strategy and Objectives.
- Develops strong relationships with C-Suite level executives to support customer success and adoption. Works with customers to understand any changes in connected car business needs. Leverages technical acumen to relate to business value and solutions.
- Maintains an accurate pipeline and forecast for revenue target achievement in Customer Relationship Management as required.
- Bachelor's Degree Business or Technology degree preferred. ()
- 7-10 years Business to Business (B2B) sales experience selling technology solutions to Automotive OEMs. (Required)
- 4-7 years Selling connected car, connectivity or other wireless technology services as lead salesperson or customer facing Solutions Sales Engineer, specifically focused on new logos or pure prospects. (Required)
- 4-7 years 5 years experience in complex IoT, M2M, solutions/applications. (Required)
- 7-10 years Combination of ten years' sales and customer facing technical solutions experience. (Preferred)
- Technical Sales Technologically proficient in IoT & automotive related Industry. (Required)
- Cloud Applications Extensive knowledge of the IoT & connected car ecosystem including, Infrastructure, Systems, Cloud, Edge Compute, Hardware/TCU, Modules and Platforms. (Required)
- Direct Sales Demonstrated success of meeting and exceeded sales targets and sales leadership. (Required)
- Problem Solving Ability to assess and define core issue of problem (not just symptom); Generate alternatives & recommendations; Evaluate alternatives; Implement (Required)
- Sales Presentations Solid presentation skills. (Required)
- Strong Business Acumen Solid business acumen and a strong executive presence. (Required)
- At least 18 years of age
