As a Sales Trainer, you will act like a small business owner running your own sales training consulting firm. Your mission will be to work closely with the teams Sales Director/Sales Managers and sales staff to drive sales in a systematic and scalable manner. You will own the creation, implementation and learning/development for the sales process across the EF Study Abroad sales teams. You’ll play a crucial role in driving the content, theory, and execution of our sales using our sales methodologies. Together with our Sales Directors, you will be instrumental in coaching and supporting the sales team to crush individual and team goals by creating educational travel opportunities for hundreds of students between the ages of 18-22.
This role will be divided into three main areas of work: driving key performance indicators (KPIs) on the sales teams, 1-1 coaching, and onboarding new staff. The area of focus will change seasonally and the best candidate for the role will be motivated to work independently across all three lanes of work.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate sales onboarding and ongoing training programs – live and virtual – that equip new sellers with the essential knowledge and skills required to be successful in their role
- Partner with sales management to co-own the outcomes of your individual coaching and ongoing training programs
- Evangelize the sales process, holding the sales team accountable to proven sales tactics and sharing ownership in seller performance
- Identify opportunities to improve sales effectiveness by working cross-functionally to build and deliver process improvements, playbooks, toolkits, and opportunities for skills development
- Create and evolve user-friendly content to educate the sales team - scripts, cheat sheets, sales tools / tips, quick reference cards, etc.
- Train sales teams to make strategic use of sales materials and marketing campaigns
Requirements
- Sales coaching experience preferred
- 2+ years sales experience
- Consistent sales success
- Proven influencer, with a proven track record of others following your lead
- Passion for motivating, a natural teacher and leader, but also comfortable with difficult conversations
- Clear communicator, ability to report to and adapt to different personalities, needs and learning styles
- A natural challenger, you are comfortable asking difficult questions, holding staff accountable and pushing those you work with out of the comfort zones to help them achieve greater results
- Nothing is impossible mindset
- Strong student mentality
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Adaptable with a large capacity and ability to manage many priorities at once
- Self-driven, with an entrepreneurial mindset
