GENERAL OVERVIEW:


Education Advanced, Inc. is a rapidly growing educational technology (Ed-Tech) company in the K-12 industry. Our goal is to create operational software that empowers educators to work more efficiently in specific areas. To this end, Education Advanced has created a College and Career Readiness Tracking software along with a Staff Evaluation tool to help administrators.


From a sales perspective, we know that educators like to work with other educators. For that reason, all our current Account Executives at Education Advanced are former school or district administrators and understand the demands these professionals face daily. We seek individuals who are interested in staying within the education industry but want to have a positive impact on hundreds of school districts. We provide all necessary sales training from daily activities, key performance indicators, lead generation, web-conference presentations, and B2B Sales Methodologies.


This new Account Executive will need to reside in Indiana or Michigan, be ready to work from with a geographically dispersed team. Accordingly, this position requires a highly capable, self-driven individual, able to work under limited supervision. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Prospect to build pipeline and personal relationships with prospective clients. This will include cold calls, cold emails, working conferences, etc.
  • Create reliable forecasts and present pipeline status with transparency.
  • Consistently close deals to quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Be a team player by investing in your colleagues and willing to offer help when you see an opportunity for improvement.
  • Help to develop and circulate best practices that will become the foundation of the team.
  • Listen to the needs of the market and share insights with upper management.
  • Be proactive about solving problems even if it is outside of your area.
  • Be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge.
  • Seek out opportunities to be a leader and do everything you can to help the company achieve its larger objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:


  • Experience: 2-5 years of administrative educational experience, or 3-5 years of B2B sales experience.
    • If your experience is primarily from the education industry, you will be trained in basic sales and account management tasks.
    • If your experience is primarily from B2B sales, you must have experience selling in the education space.
  • Willingness: Make cold calls and generate own personal leads. Demonstrate hard work via stats and data. Take personal responsibility for generating the company’s revenue.
  • Ability: Create new opportunities, manage those opportunities, and generate revenue with or without assistance. Impeccable organizational skills, including strong time-management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Technologically savvy in a variety of formats and areas.
  • Ambition: Self-motivated and self-directed. Ability to stay focused in a work from home situation. Capable and eager to demonstrate your body of work through data.
  • Ability and desire to adapt and acquire the skillset needed to meet the demands of our rapidly growing company
  • Proficiency with the Office 365 product suite.
  • Reside in either Indiana or Michigan with a reliable internet connection.
  • Must be willing to travel 40% of time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience in College and Career Readiness or Staff Evaluation tools.
  • B2B sales experience.
  • Formal sales training on one of more sales methodologies.
  • Experience with sales software tools, such as Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of software contract terms and conditions.
  • Strong negotiation and accurate forecasting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to find, manage and close high-level business in an open sales environment.
  • Ability to manage a large number of prospects and opportunities simultaneously.
  • Skilled in selling a product against direct and indirect competition.
