REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager

SCOPE OF POSITION

ConeTec and Mud Bay Drilling deliver world-leading geotechnical site investigation solutions throughout the Americas. Together, we offer full service site characterization, having partnered on projects of various sizes and scopes for over 30 years. Mud Bay's extensive drilling expertise coupled with ConeTec's in-situ testing experience provide a unified team capable of executing complex projects, both safely and efficiently. Our success is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our team.

Reporting to the Canadian Business Development Manager, the Marketing Coordinator (MC) is an intermediate-junior level position, responsible for assisting with the execution of business development and marketing efforts throughout Canada. The MC will assist with the following aspects of this business: marketing graphics, branded materials, print/media advertising and communications, and event logistics.

OVERALL GOALS FOR THE POSITION

Highlight/market the teamwork advantage approach of the combined Mud Bay / ConeTec service
Work with the senior Corporate Management team to develop creative, effective media and branding materials
Support and work collaboratively with the senior Corporate Management team in regard to all aspects of business development and marketing
To help ensure professional execution of external communication (i.e. proposals, advertisements, graphics, postings, etc) and ensure consistency with the ConeTec / Mud Bay brand.

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Detailed responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Marketing and Event Planning Responsibilities

Assist with the creation, design and production of various marketing and communication materials, including: proposals, presentations, advertisements, newsletters, slide shows, notices, invitations, etc
Review RFPs and align ConeTec/Mud Bay Drilling's experience, qualifications and services to the requirements of the RFP
Develop a strong sense of our brand, and have a keen eye to detail for reviewing, assembling, producing and delivering final documents for submission
Assemble, maintain and manage digital assets (i.e. photography, company experience and personnel biographies) in an archived database that can be easily and efficiently queried
Source, review, price and prepare various clothing and items/gifts for both internal and external distribution
Help to plan and execute events including: workshops, presentations, meetings, training sessions, employee events, conferences, client appreciation parties. Create, distribute and maintain invitations/ticket lists, source venues, collect/evaluate supplier estimates/quotes, maintain RSVP list
Manage (or delegate as directed) all administrative details before, during and upon completion of an event
Assist with creating/posting/promoting content to approved external media platforms, as directed

Operations and Administrative Responsibilities

Maintain and update the company's calendar of conferences and events
Manage logistics for conferences and events
Procure, manage and collaborate with 3rd party branding and marketing groups as required, and on a project-by-project basis
Provide feedback and recommendations regarding the management of high profile, urgent and/or important matters
Assist the CEO and COO with various administrative tasks, if/when required
Help promote a safe and efficient workplace environment

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education and Experience

Post secondary degree/diploma in marketing, communications or graphic design preferred but not required
Extensive experience with the Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications (including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc)
Strong preference to candidates with media/publishing software training and work experience (i.e. Adobe InDesign, Prezi, Adobe Illustrator, etc)
Strong preference to candidates with previous graphic design experience

Skills and Knowledge

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships with both fellow employees and suppliers/vendors of various backgrounds and communication styles
Must enjoy performing a wide variety of duties and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Graphic design training and/or experience required
Strong ability to maintain confidentiality is a must

WORKING CONDITIONS

Office-based, with the ability to travel to events as required
