We are looking for a talented Electrical Project Engineer, who is responsible for the research, design, development, documentation, and support of electrical systems for precision test equipment, data acquisition and control systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, transducers, control systems, three phase power systems, motion control, and motor drive technologies to operate resources as required.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, to use applications and perform programming.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models for the creation of electrical schematics using CAD tools.
  • Selection of components and creation of BOMs in the ERP system (Epicor).
  • Knowledge of performing technical calculations including full load amps, short circuit amps, conduit sizes etc.
  • Support to Sales, Operations, and Validation Departments.
  • Selection, support, programming, and troubleshooting of motor drives/motion control systems.
  • Documentation including projects, manuals, technical files to keep required records.
  • Suggest new designs, and innovative solutions for improvements.
  • Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
  • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience with electrical schematics using CAD tools.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Previous electrical design experience with test equipment or similar is a plus.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting technical and operative issues and determining possible reasons for malfunction.
  • Strong capability and understanding of mechanical, electrical and software engineering fundamentals.
  • Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience being highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a Team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Hands-on problem solving and continuous improvement support.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

  • Able to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
  • Able to travel up to 10% domestically.
